The Joy of Parenting

Every new mommy on the block would agree that parenting is not as easy as expected. It must also be noted that children are not the devils they are made out to be in some movies where they seem to suck the life force out of their parents. While it is true that there is no rule book by which parents can raise their children, there are indeed a few tricks that they can adopt in order to bring up their children in a relatively hassle free way.

New mothers are always afraid of exposing their children to nature for fear of bug bites, germ carriers and other such threats to their baby. In reality, as your baby undergoes development and is old enough to walk, taking him outdoors can actually do him a world of good.

Child development takes place in a way that the child best adapts to his environment at an early stage. By going outdoors, the toddler becomes more confident in balancing himself, achieves muscle coordination and flexibility along with development of motor skills. All this exercise and running around accentuates the physical strength of the child and prepares him for later physical activities. Meeting and interacting with other children can encourage social skills that are necessary for later years.

Parents need to understand the inherent need of a child for activity and work. Children thrive on physical action and often they get bored of inactivity. For this reason, new parents should throw away their anxiety of taking their tiny tots to outdoor places like parks and playgrounds.
